งาน Autodesk University (AU) นี้เป็นงานแสดง นำเสนอผลงาน และบรรยายทางวิชาการ จากประสบการณ์การทำงานจริงของผู้ใช้งาน ที่ใช้ระบบหรือโปรแกรมต่างๆของ Autodeskไม่ว่าชนิดใด เช่นโปรแกรม AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, Navisworks, Maya, 3D studio Max, Smoke, Frame เป็นต้น หรือมีประสบการณ์ ความสำเร็จในการประยุกต์การทำงานกับเทคโนโลยียุคใหม่เช่น Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Prototyping (DP) แล้วประสบความสำเร็จสามารถช่วยงานได้อย่างดี เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงาน รวมถึงการใช้โปรแกรม Add-in หรือโปรแกรมที่ต่อยอดจากโปรแกรมของ Autodeskเพื่องานเฉพาะทางเช่น งานบริหารอาคาร  งานสำรวจเพื่อวางตำแหน่ง พิกัดจุด  งาน Pre-fabrication เป็นต้น  เป็นการที่ผู้ใช้งานจริงนำประสบการณ์จริงมาแบ่งปันกันในงานนี้

ปกติงานนี้จะจัดที่ Las Vegas, US เป็นงานใหญ่ประจำปีละครั้ง ช่วงประมาณเดือนพฤศจิกายน ที่มีผู้เข้าร่วมงานจากทั่วโลกระดับหมื่นคน การจัดงานครั้งนี้เป็นการจัด AU แบบเต็มรูปแบบในระดับ ASEAN เป็นครั้งแรก งานอาจเล็กกว่า แต่เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานงาน AU จึงเป็นโอกาสดีที่เราจะนำเสนอการทำงานที่มีประสิทธิภาพของบริษัท หรือหน่วยงานที่ใช้โปรแกรมของ Autodesk หรือการประยุกต์โปรแกรมของ Autodesk กับระบบการทำงานยุคใหม่ในหน่วยงาน เพื่อเป็นการเผยแพร่ชื่อของบริษัท หรือหน่วยงานให้เป็นที่รู้จักในระดับประเทศและ ASEAN ในงาน AU นี้
